Up to now, it has not been possible to simply integrate SAP and other ERP systems into the world of AGV. With the newly developed AGV MULTIConnect, ProLog has a solution to this problem.
AGV MultiConnect enable fast, cost-effective integration of automated guided vehicle systems in production plants. It is ready-to-use software. It just needs to be installed and configured. The middleware makes it possible for you to set up and run an uncomplicated link between SAP and/or OPC and your fleet manager. No programming is required.
AGV MULTIConnect makes it possible to use communications channels simultaneously for SAP and OPC UA. It allows warehouse tasks for product transport to be issued by SAP. At the same time, PLCs can start missions to transport empties without action from SAP.
AGV MultiConnect includes comprehensive order administration for the fleet manager and an intuitive web-based configuration interface.
The integrated web portal shows the real-time status of active tasks in SAP and OPC. The diagnostics support technicians with direct display of faults in communications channels.

AGV MultiConnect middleware is modular in design and consists of:
AGV MultiConnect is installed on a Windows PC.
The free MS SQL Server Express Edition is used for data storage.
Configuration and diagnostics utilize a web-based user interface.
Integrated user administration supports a flexible role concept for configuration and diagnostics.
SAP Connector is a tRFC server. SAP assigns transport actions by issuing warehouse tasks.
AGV MultiConnect supports the following IDocs:
SAP assigns a source, a destination, and a priority for transfers.
One or more missions may exist in the fleet. They have zero, one, or two parameters for transferring a source and/or a destination.
SAP transfer orders are assigned to missions via configurable mapping, based on the source and destination in SAP.
The SAP connection data, as well as the mapping of the of the source/destination combinations to missions, is performed by a web-based configuration interface.
AGV MultiConnect can be connected to any number of OPC servers via an integrated OPC UA Client.
Any number of “order points” can be set up for starting missions.
For each “order point,” the OPC nodes Start, Status, Error code, and Error text must be configured.
In addition, information on the mission, source, destination, and priority must be configured. These can be permanently configured in the configuration interface.
Alternatively, OPC nodes can also be configured for these. In this case, the information can be provided dynamically from the PLC.
A mission needs zero, one, or two parameters for transmitting the source and/or destination.
If the source and/or destination are “hard-coded” in the mission to be started, then the source and/or destination in the configuration can be left blank.
